Он ее сразу узнал. 20 лет назад Света была с ним обручена, у молодых должна была быть свадьба, но девушка сбежала, не объяснив причины своего поступка. И вот теперь она вернулась женой Михаила. Алексей не сможет жить с ней в одном городе, поэтому решает перевестись в другой приграничный отряд, но в ситуацию вмешалась трагедия. Был убит бывший начальник поселения и тесть героя. И теперь Алексей не может бросить все, пока не выяснит всю правду и не найдет убийцу своего родственника.
